We break up fat with a vibrating cannula or a VASER ultrasound device rather than a laser — which avoids the burn risk associated with laser liposuction. Tiny incisions of a few millimeters each.

Xpress liposuction is designed for adults 18 and over. Patients who typically see the best results are close to their ideal body weight, in good general health with good skin elasticity, and have small, localized fat deposits that haven't responded to diet and exercise.

Those isolated pockets can occur in the abdomen, flanks, hips, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, neck, or cheeks. Candidacy is confirmed only after Dr. Prado-Wright evaluates you in person.

Is liposuction a weight loss procedure?

No. Liposuction is a body contouring procedure, not a weight loss solution. It targets specific areas of stubborn fat rather than reducing overall body weight. If weight loss is your primary goal, we can talk about medical weight loss options at your consultation.

How much does liposuction cost?

The treatment areas are fully numbed with a tumescent solution containing local anesthetic, and we use Pro-Nox — an inhaled 50/50 mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen — to keep you comfortable and relaxed. You stay awake and responsive throughout. We also provide anti-nausea and anti-anxiety medication, plus antibiotics the day before your procedure.

Why awake instead of under general anesthesia?

Most complications associated with body contouring relate to general anesthesia rather than to the procedure itself. Staying awake removes that variable, and because you aren't recovering from general anesthesia, your body can focus its energy on healing.

Patients typically experience less bruising and downtime and can go home shortly after their procedure. Experiences and results vary by individual.
